IT Hell

Why oh why am I tormented? I guess you could call it job security. Today, first thing I have an e-mail from my boss, asking why I did not install the program set in a ticket I closed. I was 100% sure I had installed the program set. The I realized, I am flooded with users who like to have PICNICs (Problem In Chair Not In Computer).
So I take my happy ass out on the floor and realize I had not spoon fed these people and put a desktop icon for them to click on. Now both these users are on XP Pro. I assume both of them had put down computer experience to get a job here. So...why the ever living hell they did not click Start>All Programs, and look for the programs there I have no idea.
People often wonder why men and women in the IT field have little to no patience. I started with patience, but then I met them, the users. I am riddled at time with some of the craziest things.
One person saw an item on our Corporate Shop website that puts salad in one side and dressing in the other and it was lovingly called "The Salad Tosser". Corporate retail $29.95. Now this person did not want to pay that so she type Salad Tosser in her address bar. I will leave it to you to understand that one. Another woman wanted to stream music. Her Favorite local country music station is called The Beaver. She typed that into the address bar. It never ends. I can clean it all but just one idiot can get my temper flaring.
So now it is left up to beer. Thank God for that.
