KBR...How much is your soul worth?

Imagine you are an Iraqi citizen working in the Green Zone for a US contractor. Your family has been threatened and you have been physically attacked. You hear that you and your family can be given refugee status under a new program designed by the US government. The only prerequisites for this program are :
1. You or you family have to have been threatened or attacked as a result of you working as a US contractor.
2. Proof of employment from your Supervisor that you are contracted labor.
You see that some people you know have completed this program and are now refugees. This to you looks like the answers to all your prayers, and working for KBR, the biggest US contractor in country, there should be no problems.
So far KBR is only working with translators to complete this program. Laborers have not been shown the same amount of respect. This to me is disgusting.
KBR is known in the press as having a bad reputation. Every time you turn around they are up to their old tricks. "Screw you, I am here for the blood money" should be their slogan. From rape cases to murder, KBR continues to make headlines.
My question is as tax payers, why do we allow this mess to continue? Oh yeah..I remember we do not live in a democracy. One back stabbing move after another we continue to make more enemies because we care more about money than a human being. I forget, it seems like lately that is the American way.
Now I know this is going to be a controversial post, and that's fine, it's my blog I will say what I damn well please.
The United States was founded on Christian beliefs. I am a Christian, but I do not believe that how we were founded continues to be our direction. We are more concerned with our possessions. Then the blood of a human being.
